Let's Hear from Edward, Shall We?

Hi guys!

Chapter 12, called Homecoming, is now off with the betas. It's the first chapter that we finally get to hear from Edward and since this was his first chance to let us know what's really going on inside his head, I wanted it to be perfect. I really hope that you guys like it.

I'm hoping that I can push the story to over 100 reviews this time. I see that you guys are reading and favoriting it, so I hope you will decide to leave a review. They really make me want to keep writing and I love hearing what you have to say. I reply to every single one that I get, so if you have a question, throw it at me. I'll do my best to answer.

Chapter 12 - Homecoming

I was flooded with images and memories of her in the past. The things we’d done, the way she opened herself up to me, her smell, her taste, the way she looked at me, the way I felt when she told me that she loved me, the way that I’d hurt her. I would never forgive myself for not letting her know how I really felt, for single handedly destroying the one perfect thing I had in my life. I thought I was over it – over her, but seeing her made me realize it was all a lie. I was kidding myself by believing that I had ever let her go.



Needing a boost to get me through the rest of my day, I walked into Starbucks to get my morning coffee. I was standing at the back of the line when I heard the voice that would call to me anywhere. She was there. Bella was placing an order at the front of the line. What were the chances of seeing her at Starbucks? I didn’t know, but I was sure to find out.


With her cup in hand, she turned and began to walk toward the exit. Luckily, for me, she was still clumsy. She hadn’t noticed me in the line, but when she tripped, I stepped out and caught her in my arms.

Camp Twilight Contest

Hello, my pretties!

A few weeks ago, I entered the Camp Twilight Contest. We had to submit a one shot telling a story about our favorite Twilight characters as either campers or counselors at summer camp. I wrote a one shot entitled The Best Summer Ever. It's a fluffy, silly little story that I came up with and I'm really proud of the way it turned out. The results for the contest were released yesterday and I won two awards. I was really surprised, as I hadn't expected to win any. I won a Judge's Choice Award for the most embarrassing situation as well as tied for third in the Reader's Overall Votes. Not bad for a first contest, if I do say so myself. :D

Teasers, Updates, and News

Hi guys!

I hope you're all doing well. Things have been busy on my end. I know it's been a little while since I've updated this, but I've had quite a bit going on. The first thing is that my story, ALBtY was accepted as an Under the Radar fic. *Squee* The interview for it hasn't posted yet, but it should be sometime soon. I will definitely post a link when it does. Second, I entered the Camp Twilight One Shot contest. Voting took place last week and we should find out the winners this weekend. Not gonna lie, I'm a little nervous. It was the first contest and o/s I've done and it's very different from my other story. It was actually a lot of fun to write. It's completely fluffy and silly. TEASER - Chapter 11 (Explanations):

So, shutting myself off was what I did. It was best that way. I didn’t have to deal with the sadness, hurt and pain. I could just exist, go through the motions, and no one else would have to suffer. I thought that I’d put up a good front and that everyone was accepting. I was on autopilot and believed that life around me was continuing on as normal. That was until I got his letter.

Chapter 10 (Downward Spiral) Teaser

Hello all 6 of you blog readers and followers! How are you this Thursday afternoon? I'm doing well. Been busy with work and life and have recently gotten lost in reading the story Emancipation Proclamation. I know, I'm like one of the last people to just start reading this. I've been holding out. I needed to get into sad mode to write the next chapter of ALBtY, so I finally gave in. Now, I'm completely hooked, and it is definitely sad. Gah! It seriously grabs ahold of you and tears you up inside. It's really, really good, though. So, if you aren't reading it, you definitely should.

So, I've finished Chapter 10 and sent it off to the beta. It should post soon. The teaser for it is below. I've also gotten most of Chapter 11 done and part of Chapter 12. Go me! I know, it's a shocker, right? LOL! Hopefully I can get them up and posted much faster than the past couple have been. We shall see.

Anyhoo, that's about it for me. I hope you all are doing well. I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to let me know what you think about the story, what you think is going to happen or want to happen, if you're reading anything great that you want to recommend, or if you just want to say hey! Any form of feedback makes me smile. :)

“Let me get these guys out of my house and you can come over later. We’ll go out and do something. Sound good?”



“Yeah, do you want to call me?”


“No, just come back over later this evening. We’ll grab dinner and go to a movie or something.”


“Alright. Is six o’clock good?” I asked.


“Yeah, baby. Whenever.”


He walked me back out to my car and placed a soft, slow kiss on my lips before closing me inside. I drove back to my house and killed time by catching up on some laundry and picking up my room. It was around four when I was about to start getting ready and my dad came home. It was a good hour earlier than he usually got in, but didn’t think anything of it until he came inside.


“Bella, are you upstairs?” my dad called out when he came in.


“Yeah, I’ll be right down,” I replied back.


As I descended the stairs, I knew something was up. My dad had a strange look on his face. I couldn’t tell if he was angry, upset, or worried. It actually appeared to be a combination of the three.


“Hey, Dad, what’s up?” I asked, smiling up at him.


“We need to sit down,” he said, ushering me to the living room.


“Okay? What’s going on? Is everything alright?”


“I’m not going to beat around the bush about it because, quite frankly, there’s no sugar coating this. Edward was arrested today.”

Happy Humpday! Here's a Little Treat for your Mid Week Enjoyment :)

Hi guys!

I hope that everyone had a Happy 4th and that you've all gone to see the pretty, better known as RPattz, in Eclipse! If you haven't, you MUST go! It was epic. This was definitely my favorite one so far. Eclipse was my favorite book in the series, though. That may have something to do with it. Breaking Dawn has a lot to live up to. Hopefully it's just as great. I hear it's going to be filmed in Louisiana, which is the state next to mine. I'm thinking a road trip is going to be in order. Just sayin'... Who's with me?

I'm sorry that I've been so slack in getting my sheesh together. I've been working on Chapter 9 for a while, and well... it kicked my arse. But I have good news! I just finished it today and it's been sent off to the beta. I'm hoping that I can post it by the end of the week, but it all depends. My beta is a busy lady. Not only does she work as a beta on like six different stories, she's also writing four of her own that she updates weekly, and she's now a Twilighted Validation Beta. I guess we should cut her some slack. I think her plates kinda full. Wouldn't you? :D

I at least wanted to post a teaser for you. Hopefully it will tide you over until the chapter posts! Keep in mind that this hasn't been beta'd yet and errors are not intentional. So, here goes:

Teaser - Chapter 9 Titled: Ohh...!

As the movie started, Edward began whispering plans in my ear.

“Alice is going to fall asleep soon. She never lasts through more than one movie. I want you to come with me to my room. Please?” he asked.

“Really? Don’t you think she’s going to wake up if we move?” Oh. My. God. Is he ready to do this now?

“Not a chance. Once she falls asleep, she’s out for the night.”

“Are you sure? I mean, about wanting me to come up there with you?”

“Do you not want to?” He looked worried.

“No, I do… it’s just that, I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.

“Baby, I asked you. You aren’t making me uncomfortable.”

“Okay.” I smiled. “Yes, then.”

Edward was right. Alice was asleep within twenty minutes of the second movie starting and he was then eagerly pulling me up the stairs toward his bedroom.
 
So, what do you think Edward wants her to go to his room for? Hmmm... Could there be some citrusy goodness in the works? Don't kill me, but for the answer to that and any other questions you might have, you'll have to read the update. Hopefully you have the story on alert so you'll get an e-mail when it posts!

Welcome to my Blog!

So, I decided to start a blog. I thought that it would be a good way for me to share information with everyone about my current story, Always Leads Back to You, as well as other little tidbits like, what I'm reading, websites I frequent, other people I follow, etc., etc. You get the idea… For this first post, I thought I would tell you a little bit about each of the things I’ve included in the blog. Hopefully it tells you a little bit more about me and a lot more about my current story.



First and foremost, there is a link to my story. Just click on the banner at the top and it will take you directly there. Then, of course, you have the other typical stuff that you might expect; information about me, how to follow me on Twitter, a feed on my latest tweets and other followers of my blog. However, there are also some links for some other random things; like a list of some of the stories I’m currently reading and absolutely love, all well written by some amazing ladies, as well as links to websites that I stalk on the regular and the blogs of some pretty cool peeps that I follow. You should definitely check them out!


Some of the coolest things I’ve added, though, are related to my story. I hope that you think they’re cool, at least. I’m a visual person. I have an active imagination, but I also like to see things from other peoples perspectives. When I read a story, I get a mental image and feel for what the setting is like. I hope that I’ve conveyed some of that detail in my writing. Like the name of the blog says, "We're not in Forks Anymore." So, I thought it might be interesting to add some actual photos of the “places” in Always Leads Back to You, as well as create some playlists of the music in the story. Granted, this is a fictional work with fictional characters, but many of the places are real and the music depicted coincides with the time and era the story takes place in. I grew up in Maryland (in the DC area) and the slideshow photos are all actual places in and around the area I grew up. I wanted to be able to describe things to you, the reader, in a way that would be believable. Therefore, I decided to create the story in a place and a time I know well. Hopefully that comes across in the story. I will continue to update the photos and music as the story progresses, as the locations and times will continue to change.


That being said, I hope you like it. I’ll be posting teasers for the story on here as well as other thoughts and tidbits as they occur to me. Feel free to leave me comments or questions if you have them. I’d love to hear from you. And come and catch me on Twitter. I’ll talk to you all soon!
